Fun with friends

I got to take some pictures for our good friends last weekend. You would think that a bull charging us and being eaten alive by mosquitoes we would have given up on a few pictures. After the adventure we Bar-b-qued with our families and played Settlers where Jeff gets so upset because Nate helps Heather win every time she has been Lord of Catan for ever. Am I a bad wife if I think it funny when Jeff starts to unravel. The only thing better would have been a leg cramp!! Anyway here are a few to look at do you have any favorites??

Happy Birthday

Tyler turned 6 years old. He had a great week, a couple of parites with friends and family and he was the happiest 6 year old out there. This is a boy who is excited about anything fun, he gets so excited about the smallest thing. It is fun to be with him and his great attitude. We sure do love this boy!

Congrats

Mike and Shannell tied the knot last weekend. We have been so excited for the two of them! And we are so happy to be adding Shannell to the family!

We were late to the sealing because we got pulled over and got a ticket!!!! We stayed the night before the sealing in Haggerman at the Johnson's ranch house. Despite it being cleaned not long ago Jeff and I didn't get much sleep worrying about mice and spiders. We went in to the first ranch house and found three dead mice in the bathtub and then we had kids crying saying, "we can't stay here!" and "I wan't to go home!" The second house was much cleaner and after convincing the kids we decided we could stay. We woke up in the morning to find the Snake River in our backyard it was beautiful! After racing to get to Twin Falls we got off the the freeway where we found a not so kind police officer. After a beautiful sealing, a few photos and a great luncheon, we went fishing. Yes we couldn't let Johnson's pond chuck full of bass pass us by! And then we went to the reception and Shannells house. Kayla and Cameron helped with the car and Kayla caught the bouquet. It was a great day!

let the games begin

Baseball has begun. Jeff is coaching Cam's team this year and Tyler is playing one more year of T-ball. Tyler's first game he was the last hitter on the team that inning, so he got to run everyone in to score. He hit a good long ball and ran fast, right past 1st base without stepping on it and then ran past second base with out stepping on it, he did get 3rd and he got homeplate. It may not have been official but he ran fast, and he loved every minute of it. (we told him it still counted). Cameron, this is a boy who loves sports, he has been so excited to start baseball. He got some new batting gloves in his easter basket this year, he wore them for two straight days. He may be one of the youngest and the smallest guys on his team, but he sure is fun to watch! can't wait for Mason to be old enough to play next year!
this is Tyler missing first base! ;)

broken

Cameron did it! Cameron loves balls!, and he has been swinging his golf club around these days, (you know where I a going with this don't you) he has some hard plastic balls he likes to hit. a few days ago he was hitting toward the house, and you guessed it he broke our window!! Jeff had just told him the day before not to do it anymore. I was trying to make it a teaching moment, he was crying and felt so bad and I just couldn't figure out how hitting a ball toward a house is ever a good idea!? Cam was feeling so bad he made a pact with his dad not to talk about it anymore. I am just glad it wasn't the neighbors house. Boys!?

Fablehaven

We waited for over three hours but we did get our book signed. Kayla has been counting down the days until she would get to go meet Brandon Mull. I don't think they expected that many people would show up. After the first hour we heard an announcement that he would no longer be personalizing your books just a signature, he would only sign one thing, you could take pictures but you had to be fast, and they ran out of posters. Barnes and Nobles stayed open late and Brandon (yea that's right we are good friends first names are okay) said he would stay for us all to get our books signed. The signing was only to last until 9:00p.m. but we left around 10:30 and they still had at least 150 people left in the store waiting for their numbers to be called. Lots of people around, Kayla found some girlfriends to hang out with and I found a quiet corner to read some books. It was fun. Kayla just finished book 4 so now I get to start reading don't tell me how it ends.
